Frog kingdom silence,
Swollen marsh gently ripples,
April snow flying.

Patience frays
veiled feelings exposed
truth comes out.
∼
Frozen mantle frays
secret dormant life awakes
nourished by spring light.

A horror movie perhaps? (Not horror from snow but something frightening enough to render the frogs silent) I always think of marshes as frog kingdoms or cities–so much sound rises out of them–I imagine thousands of frogs going about their lives.
