we are oak, our roots travel deep, our leaves rustle winds
we are birds, we surf the clouds, we dive far below
we are fish, we rule the ocean, we leap to the sun
we are seeds released by fire, born to rise again

A quadrille for dVerse…a poem of 44 words…this week the challenge is to include ‘fire’.
I love his poem Janice, so true and deeply felt. We are all those and more e.😊💕

Earth, wind, fire, water. All here, all displayed so gorgeously.

Yes. Only line seeds can sprout when released by fire. Wonderful!

No problem. Good to be back. Waiting for the great snowstorm … and it’s just starting.

It’s good to see you back. We are getting steady snow but I understand your storm is expected to be more significant! I hope it is not too severe.

We always get one around St. Patrick’s Day. The worst was 165 cms (about 5′ 5″) about 120 miles down the road. WE are not meant to get anything like that. Thank heavens

Wow! That would be a quite a wind and snowfall…even half that could be rough.

The worst comes overnight. We are hoping … but that big one was a ‘one of a kind’!

I like the linking of fire to seeds in the phrase “seeds released by fire”.

There is a braiding of the lines here. Well woven. The verbs of the center two really capture the imagination.
